On February 1, 2018, Carole and Bob Slosky were honored as Citizens of the Arts at the Fine Arts Foundation Jubilee. The Seawell Grand Ballroom served as the perfect venue to honor this inspiring couple who have supported the Denver Center for the Performing Arts for over 30 years. The event chairs Elizabeth Collins, Suzy Nelson and Mary McNicholas organized a beautiful evening for the enjoyment of all the guests.
The Slosky family, friends and guests were treated to an original play, “A Beautiful Ride”, written and produced by Dee Covington and Chip Walton of Curious Theatre. This play was a wonderful surprise to Carole and Bob and it captured many special moments in their nearly sixty-year marriage.
The Sloskys were presented the Citizens of the Arts award by their son Brent. He spoke about their passion for the arts and how they want it to be more touchable. In addition to serving on the Board for the DCPA, Bob has been on the boards of the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, Colorado Council on the Arts and the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. In 2014, the Sloskys established the Robert and Carole Slosky Fund for Arts in Education. It was a tremendous privilege for the Fine Arts Foundation to honor Carole and Bob Slosky.
